As the creative director and photographer for Kluft’s craftsmanship imagery, I aimed to evoke a moody, semi-contrast aesthetic that captures the brand’s luxurious and artisanal qualities. I developed a lighting scheme with soft but focused shadows to create depth, giving each shot a dramatic yet refined feel. This semi-contrast approach allowed the textures and intricate details of the craftsmanship, like hand-tufted stitching and layered fabrics to pop against more muted backgrounds.

The color palette was carefully curated to stay warm and sophisticated, aligning with Kluft's brand identity, while the moody tone added an air of elegance and exclusivity. Each image was meticulously framed to evoke a sense of intimacy, bringing viewers closer to the artisanal quality and attention to detail. This approach to lighting and contrast allowed the photography to tell a compelling story of luxury and quality, resonating with a clientele that appreciates both style and substance in premium craftsmanship.
